The Importance of the Arabic Language to the Ghanaian Islamic Community

Abstract

The Arabic Language was the most sublime language on the face of the earth , and it was the vessel that carried within in the heavenly message and the mold from which the fragrant sunnah of the prophet was poured . that is why Muslims confined their understanding of the Islamic and Arabic teaching to the exclusion of other international languages , However , many of those affiliated with this region , Islam , overlooked and ignored the importance of this language in a manner that led to them rejecting it behind their backs and turning their faces towards languages such as English , French and so on .Therefore , this study aimed to demonstrate and highlight this importance of the Arabic language in order to drew the attention of Muslims to it so that they can carry out their duty of paying attention to it and preserving its role in conveying Islamic purposes and strengthening the bond of brotherhood among them .
